Our Team consists of a deeply engaged team of Board of Directors and a tightly streamlined staff with rotating youth interns who are part of our Youth Global Fellowship initiative. We are grateful to Humber College of School of Social and Community Services for consistently partnering with us to work with their highly dedicated interns from a variety of their programs. Ahmeda Mansaray-RICHARDSON

Ahmeda is an decolonial inter-sectional researcher at the University of Toronto, Emmanuel College. A natural born abolitionist, Ahmeda recalls her activism beginning in kindergarten when she took her teachers to task for picking on left-handed kids. Since then her work has continued through various organization where she leads and facilitates the cause for decolonized narratives and empowered change in African communities and elsewhere. She insists all marginalized people, especially persons of colour and young people, be allowed the freedom to access their inherent power and voice. Ahmeda is a serial social entrepreneur, a parent to 5 sons and a devout lover of trees and oceans. She is the Founder and Executive Director of VOICES and serves on the Board as a non-voting member.

CARLINE ZAMAR

Carline Zamar brings to everything she does, her passion, her knowledge of the lives of immigrant and refugee women and her many years of experience in community development.

She has served as Program Manager at Oasis Centre des femmes, President of ACFO-Toronto and was awarded the Prix de la Francophonie by Collège Boréal in 2015. Serving the community as Executive Director of MOFIF, Carline uses all her talents to continue to push the cause of women.

Carline serve son the Board of VOICES as the Vice- Chair.

 

donald njelessani

Donald is a Global Health expert consultant with experience in Program and Project Evaluations, Qualitative Research, Disability and Development, Education Policy, Inclusive Education and National Plans & Regional Frameworks. A PhD from the University of Toronto’s Sports for Development program, Donald is conversant in the many ways young people, especially those who are marginalized, can be included in personal and community development.

Donald serves on the Board as the Treasurer.
